About Me

I’m Emily Huston, a design leader who builds digital experiences that simplify, engage, and convert. For more than a decade, I’ve specialized in creating comprehensive digital solutions – from responsive websites and full branding systems to interactive applications and streamlined digital tools.
My passion is taking complex business challenges and solving them with elegant design and strategic technology. I’ve led full overhauls of major company websites, which have resulted in measurable success, including a 13.5% increase in user engagement and a 19.8% boost in average session duration for the Polaris and EnergyWall websites. I also boosted organic traffic by 40% and lead generation by 25% within six months by completely modernizing an affiliate brand’s website with responsive UX features.
I thrive on turning ideas into functional realities. I pioneered innovations like designing a real-time digital quality notification form for factory installers and creating an interactive window stylizer app that allowed customers to preview color and style options pre-purchase. I’ve also helped companies modernize their internal operations, implementing project management tools like Asana and launching a digital form hub that reduced paper use by 45% in the first quarter.
Ultimately, my focus is on delivering high-quality marketing assets that enhance the user experience and drive the bottom line.
My Skills Include:

The Youngstown Road Runners Club
Since 2010, I’ve served as the Webmaster and PR Manager for the Youngstown Road Runners Club. I currently maintain the club website and direct public relations and social media to drive higher attendance at club events. My volunteer work includes:
- Modernizing Communications: Replacing the legacy paper version with an engaging digital newsletter.
- Community Building: Orchestrating the club’s 50th-anniversary celebration, which included designing custom graphics, apparel, and promotional events.
- Increasing Participation: Implementing a new attendance app to track club runs, which allows us to recognize and award top attendees.
On a personal note, I channel my dedication into marathon running, having qualified twice for the Boston Marathon. I believe this commitment to diligent training and long-term goals mirrors my professional drive to succeed.

Angels for Animals
For over 10 years, I have been a devoted foster parent for Angels for Animals, saving the lives of over 150 cats. This long-term experience demonstrates my loyalty to causes I believe in. My efforts involve:
- Compelling Copywriting: I regularly post my fosters on social media to help them get adopted, writing my own engaging personality profiles for each animal.
- Patience and Empathy: Successfully caring for and socializing high-needs animals requires strong attention to detail, organization, and emotional intelligence—qualities I value in any project.
